My Story

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. At HaglerDesigns, our goal is simple: build custom, results-driven websites that help small businesses in Longview and East Texas grow online.

Dakota Hagler has worked as Business Systems Analyst, where he was responsible for leading and advancing IT projects that drive modernization and digital transformation within the organization.

Previously, Hagler worked as a software developer supporting tax, accounting, and other commercial systems. He began his professional career in 2014 as a business systems analyst supporting enterprise IT applications.

Recently, Hagler volunteered to lead a new capability promoting diversity. In addition to working with volunteering through his company, he participates in community outreach programs through his church.

Hagler graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics. During his time at Emporia State, he played football all four years and served the community through various volunteer activities and outreach programs such as mentoring elementary students, volunteering at a local dog rescue and helping the elderly.

Originally from Gilmer, Texas, Dakota and his wife Enilisse married in 2014 and call East Texas home. Today, HaglerDesigns brings that same dedication and developer-grade skill to every client — building custom websites and local SEO for small businesses across Longview and East Texas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

While business can be tough, sometimes it is good to reflect back on your life, the work you have done, and the solutions you never thought you would design.

Where are you from?

I’m a Texan Born and Raised!

Where would you like to retire

I would like to retire somewhere in deep, deep, East Texas

Who is your hero and why?

There are two people I am honored to call my heroes.

My Mother (Denise Hagler): As a young mother, she provided for me under some of the worst circumstances imaginable. She taught me how to persevere, survive and never give up. My High School Position Coach (Kurt Traylor): Before meeting KT, I assumed I would be destined for a rough life in the streets. KT changed my future. While I was not an easy adolescent, he never gave up on me. He taught me how to be respectful, have pride in my work and be disciplined.
What is the best advice you ever got and from who?

Throughout my career, things are continually evolving and changing. My supervisor was discussing the idea of being flexible and embracing change when he said, “You are building your toolbox. Learn from your supervisors. Take notes of the things you like and don’t like. So, you become the kind of leader you want to be.”
